About me
I am interested in the many forces behind species divergence in sympatry, studying how pre- and post-zygotic barriers can participate to speciation.
During my PhD, I specifically showed how differences in temporal patterns alone can generate speciation,
by combining multiple field experiments and theoretical models.
My projects
Morpho patrolling timings
Field study of diel activity patterns in Morpho butterflies across South America.
Temporal divergence and speciation
Theoretical models of allochrony as a driver of reproductive isolation in sympatry.
Sex-determination and speciation
How XY vs. ZW systems shape the speed at which reproductive barriers evolve.

Misc
- I was a member of the Scientific council of the National Muséum of Natural History (2023-2026)
- I am very fond of baking, especially sweet pastries.
- I am against generative AI, and signed the manifesto of conscientious objection against the use of generative IA in research (this is extendable to all uses of gAi though).
